May Day International Labor Day originated from the 1886 Chicago workers' strike advocating for an "8-hour workday" in the United States. In commemoration of this movement and the workers' rights struggle it represented, the Second International designated May 1st as International Labor Day in 1889. It has now become a holiday celebrated by more than 80 countries worldwide, with the core spirit of respecting labor values and safeguarding workers' rights.   
After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the Central People's Government designated May 1st as a statutory holiday in December 1949. In recent years, China has formed the "May Day Golden Week" or 3-5 day long holiday through compensatory leave, which not only allows workers to have sufficient rest, but also drives economic vitality such as tourism and consumption.   
As a relatively long holiday, May Day provides ample time for everyone to plan their schedules. Our company's colleagues have also chosen to travel, go home, or rest according to their own needs.
